Description

Harris Stay-Silv® Black Brazing Flux is a high-temperature, all-purpose paste flux designed for silver brazing and joining base metals that form difficult oxides during heating. With an activation range of 1050°F–1700°F, this flux resists burning and remains active longer than standard white flux. It is ideal for brazing stainless steel, heavy sections, tungsten carbide, and nickel alloys, especially in applications involving rapid localized heating or prolonged cycles. The flux turns clear as it approaches brazing temperature, providing a visual cue for filler application. Easily removable after brazing with a hot water rinse, Stay-Silv® Black Flux is compliant with AWS A5.31 Type FB3-C and recommended for use with BAg and BCuP filler metals.
