Description

Harris Nic-L-Weld 59 is a general-purpose, high-strength nickel-iron stick (SMAW) electrode designed for production, maintenance, and repair welding of ALL cast irons—including gray, alloyed, ductile, malleable, and some cast steels. Conforming to AWS A5.15 ENiFeCl, it delivers close color match, excellent machinability, and up to 70,000 psi tensile strength. Its arc is stable on AC or DC reverse polarity, producing deposits that are machinable, free from porosity, and highly crack-resistant. Ideal for buildup and joining of castings, pump housings, valves, worn parts, fabrication, or salvage jobs. For best performance, vee out cracks, preheat heavy castings (up to 400°F), and lightly peen between passes for stress relief.
