Description

These Low Fuming Bronze Bare Brazing Rods (1/8" x 36", 1 lb Tube) are a general-purpose copper-based alloy designed for gas brazing and oxy-acetylene welding applications. The alloy composition of copper and zinc, with small additions of tin, iron, and silicon, makes it ideal for joining steel, cast iron, copper alloys, nickel alloys, and stainless steel. Conforming to AWS A5.8 Class RBCuZn-C, these rods produce clean, low-fume weld deposits while offering high tensile strength, ductility, and excellent machinability. Pre-heating is recommended for heavy sections, and a bronze brazing flux should be used when applied bare. Typical tensile strength is 56,000 PSI with a melting range of 1630°F–1660°F. Suitable for structural, plumbing, mechanical, and general repair brazing applications.
