Description

Harris 4043 Aluminum TIG Rods (AWS ER4043) are 5% silicon aluminum filler metals designed for welding heat-treatable base alloys, most frequently 6XXX series such as 6061 and 6063, and aluminum/silicon castings. The 5% silicon content improves puddle fluidity and bead appearance, while offering excellent wetting and low crack sensitivity. With a melting range of 1065°F–1170°F and a tensile strength of 27,000 psi, these all-position rods provide predictable performance for repair, fabrication, and maintenance on automotive components, trailers, bicycles, and general aluminum fabrication. Each rod is 3/32" x 36", conveniently packed 1 lb per tube.
