Description

Harris 308L Stainless Steel TIG (GTAW) Rods are engineered for welding 300-series stainless base metals—primarily 304/304L, 308/308L, and other austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steels. With a maximum carbon content of 0.03%, these rods resist intergranular carbide precipitation, providing improved corrosion resistance at weld joints. Conforming to AWS A5.9 ER308L, this filler metal achieves welds with high tensile strength (87,000 psi as welded) and good ductility. Perfect for chemical processing, food/beverage equipment, architectural, or sanitary piping, the rods measure 1/16" x 36" and are packed in a 3 lb tube for convenient handling and storage.
